Food Information in ReflexBlue: The Allergens tab
In the Allergens tab of the Food Information detail screen, you manage the allergens of an article. This information is important for use on labels, product packaging, and for the safety of consumers with food allergies.
Food allergens can be present in certain ingredients. The European Union has determined that ingredients causing the most hypersensitivity reactions must be clearly indicated on labels.
For these fourteen ingredients that can cause allergic reactions, it must be specified whether they are present in the product: Eggs, Gluten, Lupin, Milk, Mustard, Nuts, Peanuts, Crustaceans, Celery, Sesame seeds, Soy, Sulphite, Fish, and Molluscs.
Screen layout
The Allergens tab displays a list of all allergens. Below you’ll find an explanation of the data shown for each allergen.

| Allergen | The name of the allergen. |
| Is applicable | Indicates whether the allergen applies to the article. |
| Quantity | The amount of the allergen present in the article. |
Setting an allergen for an article
Follow these steps to indicate for each allergen whether it applies to the article:

Open the Food Information detail screen of the desired article.

Go to the Allergens tab.

In the Is applicable column next to the relevant allergen, select one of the following options:
- Yes: the allergen is present in the article.
- Traces Of: the article may contain traces of the allergen.
- No: the allergen is not present in the article.
- Unknown: it is not known whether the allergen is present (default value).
Use the Traces Of option if there is a risk of cross-contamination, for example, during production in a factory where other allergens are also processed.

In the Quantity column, enter the amount of the allergen if known.
You can only specify the Quantity for allergens with a threshold value, such as Sulphite. The unit depends on the standard value for the given allergen.

Select Save to save the allergens of the article.
Quick actions
In the Allergens tab of the Food Information detail screen, the following quick actions are available:
- Mark all as unknown: Sets the status of all allergens to Unknown.
- Mark all as no: Sets the status of all allergens to No.
Settings for allergens
In the Allergens tab of the Food Information detail screen, the following settings are available:
- Use ingredients to determine allergens: When this option is checked, allergens are automatically derived from the used ingredients in the article’s recipe.
