Control Point Definitions
Now that you’ve analyzed and determined your critical control points, it is time to create control point definitions in the Reflex Blue application. What you do with a control point definition is tie a control point event to the questions.
Whenever the event occurs, those questions will be asked of the employee on a form displayed in Flex and Flex Mobile. You may create multiple definitions for the same event. The questions from all the definitions of that event will appear on the question form.
Creating a definition starts by choosing one of the available control point events that will trigger showing the question form to the employee. You’ll add one or more questions (or sets) you’ve made earlier and configure optional filters to limit when to show the question form.
On this page, you will learn how to create a new definition.
Creating a definition
Use the following steps to create a control point definition:
- Select this link to open the Control Point Definitions view in Reflex Blue, or look for Definitions in the menu.
- Select Add in the toolbar. A new view will open.
- Fill in a name and description. These are used to identify the definition.
- Determine for what target this set of questions is asked. If you only want a specific article to trigger the question form, then select that article in the article field. If you only want to trigger the form for a specific relation, then select that relation in the relation field. Each type of control point event has specific filters. When the event occurs, the filters are used to determine if the form is shown.
- In section sets and questions select Add question/Add set in the toolbar to select a question or set that will be shown on the question form.
- Change the sequential order of a question or set by using the Up and Down arrow buttons.
- If you’re reusing a set, it can be convenient to ignore one or more questions in the set. To ignore a question, just mark the checkbox in the Ignore question column.
- Select Save to save the definition.
Multiple definitions for the same control point event
It is possible to create multiple definitions for the same event. The question form is built up with all the questions and sets of every definition. To influence the sequential order in which the definition’s questions are shown on the form, you use the priority field to give them a higher or lower priority. In cases where you want to ignore other definitions that have a lower priority than the current, check the option Ignore everything with lower priority.
