System requirements for ReflexBlue
ReflexBlue is a cloud-based ERP system developed for the food industry. The system consists of several purpose-built applications that support various processes within customer organizations. The central application server is managed by ReflexSystems in the cloud. This document describes the system requirements for the different client components used by end users.
1. Desktop Client (Office Application)
Supported operating system:
- Windows 10 or higher only (64-bit, no Home Edition)
Minimum hardware requirements:
- Processor: Intel i5 or equivalent
- RAM: 8 GB
- Storage: 500 MB free disk space for installation + extra space for temporary files
- Resolution: Minimum 1920x1080 (Full HD)
Required software:
- .NET 8 is included and does not require separate installation
- Internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps recommended)
2. Flex 3000 (Touch Terminal on the Production Floor)
There are no specific system requirements for this application, except for a physical LAN network connection for internet access.
Note: Flex does not support WIFI connections.
3. Flex Mobile (Mobile Application)
Supported platforms:
- Android only (version 14 or higher)
Distribution:
- Via Google Play Store
Device-specific requirements:
- Camera with autofocus (for barcode scanning)
Network:
- Stable WiFi or mobile data (4G or better)
4. Import/Export Service
Installation location:
- At the customer (on-premise)
Installation type:
- Installed as a Windows service
Supported operating system:
- Windows 10 or higher only (no Home Edition)
Minimum hardware requirements:
- PC or NUC (recommended)
Network:
- Internet connection required (LAN or WiFi)
User account:
- Requires its own Windows user account for the service
- Cannot run under ‘Local Service’ or ‘Network Service’
5. Printer Service
Installation location:
- At the customer (on-premise)
Operating system:
- Windows 10 or higher (only on Intel-based systems)
Note: The Printer Service is not compatible with ARM-based systems because the required printer drivers, such as Toshiba TEC printer drivers, are generally only available for Intel-based Windows installations.
Minimum hardware requirements:
- PC or NUC (recommended)
Supported printers:
- All printers with Windows driver support
Required software:
- ReflexBlue Printer Service (runs as a Windows service)
User account:
- Requires its own Windows user account for the service
- Cannot run under ‘Local Service’ or ‘Network Service’
Network:
- Local network access to printers required
- Internet connection required for cloud connection with the ReflexBlue Application Server
Notes
- For optimal performance, it is recommended to regularly update and maintain the systems.
- For the Import/Export Service and the Printer Service, it is advised to purchase a separate PC. Preferably a mini-PC such as an Intel NUC. This enables you to have these two services available 24/7.
- For the Flex devices on the production floor, it is recommended to set up a separate VLAN that provides internet access so these devices can be used completely separated from your other LAN network.
